1971 (S46) ●Starts its business as “MIYAKAWA PLASTIC”
1972 (S47) ●Established “TOKIWA CHEMICAL INDUSTY co., ltd.” and started to operate a plant in Noda-shi, Chiba Prefecture.
1977 (S52) ●Expanded and moved the plant to Kashiwa-shi, Chiba Prefecture.
●Started to produce automotive plastic body side molding.
1982

●Established a production subsidiary, “TOKIWA KEISEI co., ltd.”
1984 (S59) ●Started to produce ionomer resin window molding.
1985 (S60) ●Renewed and moved its headquarters and the plant in Shiroi-shi, Chiba Prefecture.
●Provided the window molding production technology to a first-tier automotive parts supplier in Japan.
1989 (H01) ●Renewed the headquarters office and plant.
●Expanded production molding lines (15) and prototyping and development molding lines (2).
●Adopted CAD/CAM and started to produce molds internally.
●Established “SYSTEM TECHNICAL co., ltd., a subsidiary for patent management, research and development.
●Started to research and develop glass run channels and belt line sealing.
1991 (H03) ●Started to present window molding, glass run channels and belt line sealing in Japan and the U.S.
1992 (H04) ●Provided window molding production technology to Japanese automotive parts suppliers located in the U.S.
●Granted the patent license of TPO glass run channel to a leading chemical raw material manufacturer in Japan.
1994 (H06) ●Granted the production technology and patent licenses of window molding and vehicle sealing materials to a first-tier-automotive part supplier in South Korea.
1995 (H07) ●Started to present belt line sealing.
●An automobile manufacturer in South Korea decided to use TPO glass run channels jointly developed with the parts supplier in South Korea.
1997 (H09) ●Established “TOKIWA AMERICA, Inc.” in Michigan, the U.S.
1999 (H11) ●Started to mass-produce and ship TPO glass run channels and belt line sealing and to deliver them to automobile manufacturers in Japan through five delivery suppliers.
●Granted the TPO glass run channel patent license to leading raw material manufactures in the Netherlands and the U.S.
●Provided production technology to a first-tier automotive parts supplier in Japan.
●Granted the window molding patent license to a leading compound manufacturer in Japan.
2000 (H12) ●Granted patent licenses of the TPO glass run channel and belt line sealing to two first-tier automotive part suppliers in the U.S.
●Provided TOKIWA’s comprehensive technologies including patents and know-how for a first-tier automotive part supplier in the U.S.
2001 (H13) ●Provided TOKIWA’s comprehensive know-how and patent license and know-how to a first-tier automotive parts supplier in the U.K.
●Concluded a designated manufacturing agreement with a leading household facility manufacturer in Japan.
●Granted the TPO glass run channel patent license to a leading compound manufacturer in Japan.
●Granted the architectural gasket material patent license to a premium extrusion manufacturer in Japan.
2002 (H14) ●Built employee facilities and a cafeteria in the headquarters plant.
●Newly built a second-tier processing plant.

●Granted the automotive outer molding and inner molding patent licenses to a midsize raw material manufacturer in Japan.
